EDMACAS

Emergency Department Mass Casualty Active Shooter Course

EDMACAS is a full day disaster management course that equips participants with the skills to manage a mass casualty shooting event in any Emergency Department. Designed as a play in three acts, participants learn as they go, putting theory into practice, covering the response from pre-hospital services, management of the likely injuries and the department as a whole in a mass casualty situation, including the approach to an active shooter threat. The day begins with a series of lectures - all the while a simulated disaster unfolds in the background. This is visited at various stages through the unique EDMACAS tabletop system, culminating in an Active Shooter walkthrough scenario.
